Vertical jigging
Vertical jigging is an effective form of fishing, that's rapidly gaining popularity. In vertical jigging you don't cast the bait, but you drop it into the fishes field of vision and try to get it strike by moving the bait and searching for the right colour. A great deal of the excitement of vertical jigging comes from reading the sonar to see the movement of your jig and the fish. The boat isn't anchored, but is kept moving slowly by an electric trolling motor, so that the jig is constantly moving right above the fish. Warning: This technique is extremely hooking!
